Press Release/News Blurb: Orb Plans "Best-Of" Album Ambient music hucksters the Orb will release their first-ever greatest-hits collection Nov. 17. Titled "U. F. Off - The Best Of The Orb," the Island set will feature 12 of the veteran act's tracks, including "Little Fluffy Clouds" (currently being used in a Volkswagen Beetle commercial) and the monstrously titled "A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules From The Centre Of The Ultraworld." The first 15,000 copies of "U.F. Off" will be packaged with a bonus disc, which will include seven previously unreleased mixes, as well as live versions and alternate edits. In addition, the Orb recently paired with former Take That singer Robbie Williams for a cover version of the Bee Gees' track "I Started A Joke." The collaboration is to be featured on a Bee Gees tribute album, "Gotta Get A Message To You," which is scheduled to be released Oct. 12 in Europe by Polydor. No U.S. street date is scheduled at the present time. For those that are interested (especially after the BoC fiasco), here's a few upcoming major American release dates from the pages of ICE.
