On the very experimental side of things some of you might be interested in the artist Philip Jeck. For many years he's been peforming with lock- grooves ( not pressed ones, but by forcing it with a simple sticker to nudge the needle out a groove every revolution ) He's aquired a vast collection of old record players ( the ones with the internal speakers ) that he once used for a performance called 'vinyl requiem' with The Royal College Of Arts Lol Seargent. It was a massive wall of maybe a hundred players playing simultaneously. ( I never actually saw it so i can't comment on what it sounded like ) Anyway, he's released a few CD's of his stuff on Jon Wozencrofts London based label TOUCH.
