* yeh, that's why I'll post some info on here but don't feel comfortable
doing any reviews of clubnights etc, even tho I go to all the Rephresh's,
Blechs, Clear nights, idmy type stuff (+ plus loads of other interesting
nights), ... but I reckon if I named one track wrong in the set or ventured
a negative opinion, I'd get lynched here.
I remember when I first subbed to IDM, just happened to mention onetime,
that Kraftwerk at Tribal had disappointed me somewhat, in that there seemed
to have been no progress in 10 years, and got screamed at, in vicious
rants, by one Stuart mfr geezer,(flippin fellow Scot too!), for daring to
have such an opinion. Then he went onto to laugh at me, rantin & ravin,
accusing me of lying when i mentioned in some drum'n'bass discussion, ,that
I was a regglar down Rage & Speed, as if being a lass, i couldn't possibly
have known whats what and have been there from the start!

so yeh, I was shocked and intimidated by such an attitude on an
"Intelligent" dance music list and unsubbed for a time because of it.

* nah, don't agree with you here, I reckon being a minority helps in this
respect, when I go down Blackmarket, down in the basement, it's always
heavin with hardcore junglists, puffed up to double size in their Puffas, 6
deep at the counters, ALWAYS all blokes, never once seen another girl down
there but the lads workin there are gents & will clear a space for you at
the counter and on the decks ... but yeh, you see the djs buyin up loads,
lookin at you as if you're gonna ask for cheesy stuff just cos you're a
woman, but if you know yer stuff, aint afraid to ask to hear new sounds, and
they can see your hunger burnin, they soon give you respect. (but you might
have to give a few discreet kicks at troosered ankles, to get thru the
throng & show them that you mean bizness! "ooops sorry, dint see you
there,", as you dive into his space at the counter. (Handy tip: if you're
on the wee side, wear your highest, most toe damagin shoes!)

Berwick st shops are all well cool, Atlas & blackmarket, & the R & Tape
boys but as for those blokes in the Rough Trade shop, they always look
soooooo out of it, I reckon anyone'd have a hard time gettin thru to them!
Hellooooooo, anyone workin ere???
