After one (rushed) listen, the tracks seem to be of generally high quality. A wide range of styles coexist, which could be an asset or a liability depending on your tastes- I dig it. The packaging doesn't mention whether these tracks as a whole are exclusive or "previously unreleased". The MoM track isn't off of 'autoditacker', but may well have come from a single or one of the Mouse's (many) other recent releases ('Instrumentals' LP out now, and the x@x release). The Oval track, crediting only Markus Popp, is almost certainly previously unreleased. It follows on from their earlier work (and the Microstoria releases), but represents a new kind of sound for Oval- still beautifully noisy but without the foreground of CD-pops and skips they had previously employed. The rest of the tracks range from semi-this-listy efforts (Moby/Voodoo Child, Scanner) to drone-workouts (AUBE, E.A.R.) to Bubble Core's own indie-experimental style (Mice Parade, Dylan Group). - Brad Shelton xxxxxxxx@xxx.xxx
