So I have an Andromeda, in lovely condition, except that it gets stuck in the boot process. There is a great and lengthy thread on Gearslutz about this issue, and several suggested fixes. I've gotten through it all, to the point where I thought I needed to swap out the flash, so I contacted Norick (Audio Design & Service, in Burbank) to see if I could have him do that. He is highly regarded in Andromeda circles, but after sending him info and photos, he said it is not a flash issue, and he doesn't have a solution. He didn't say what the issue might really be. Is any list member an Andromeda expert? Or knows of one? Does anyone at Alesis still know about these? I can't stand having such a sweet synthesizer that won't come to life. Sam
