Right, i'm probably no going to make any friends here but personally i
think that Squarepusher is overrated cack.
I have no technical arguments to back this up as I'm not a tech spod. I
can't fall back on the gripe that "the production values are poor"
because quite frankly I don't give a toss about any of that.
All that I care about is how the music grabs me! Isn't that what its all
really about? Squarepusher didn't (and still doesn't with his latest
release) Jega does. Simple as that really.
I would wager that a lot of people rave about Squarepusher simply to be
seen as being "cool", like a lot of people probably do with AFX.
At least Jega is making music which is varied, by slating all his music
as "drill and bass" is nonsense. Furthermore by using this term you are
pandering to the media tosswanks who invented it. Drill and Bass! What
the f**k is that anyway?
Also if you say that Jega is just a variant of another artist then
surely you have to say the same about virtually every other musician out
there. Everyone gets inspiration from someone else do they not, can you
name me one artist that doesn't?

>thing is, no-one i know remotely likes what he's doing now.

I think you need to get out a bit more matey, get some friends with
taste!

Bye for now
