Hello,
A couple of weeks ago, someone here was asking about Merzbow doing more
beat oriented work. I saw the following on ForcedExposure's release list,
and while it isn't exactly what was questioned, it may fit the description
(notice the collaborators). [I'm not sure what to expect from this baed on
MillePlateaux's normally abstract descriptions, but his tracks on _EL5_
were fairly good d'n'b type stuff.]:
>MATSUNAGA, KOUHEI: Upside Down CD (MP 54 CD). "Matsunaga is one of the
>first Japanese artists to make a CD for Mille Plateaux. The 22 year old
>student of architecture in Tokyo produced also under the name of Mou for
>Electric Ladyland compilations and performed in Japan with Audio Active,
>Roni Size, Panacea and many more. His first album contains also
>cooperations with Japanese noise & electronic artists Merzbow & Masonna.
>The album is characterised by the idea of taking noise back to the music
>and demonstrating the brutality of ordering sounds into music. Upside Down
>is neither pure industrial nor desktop music. The sound archives include
>virtual sounds, which are not physical, but also physical sounds like the
>human voice and traditional instruments. The music is floating the brittle
>beauty of gloomy virtual and physical sounds, seems to begin nowhere, seems
>to end nowhere. Music without center. A dense forest of reflections, cleft
>mountains of a very special musical imagination." $15.00
