Farmers Manual rarely repeat themselves from one release to the next. The track on Alt Frequencies most closely resembles the 12" titled Mad Scientists Unite (or it may be self-titled; as with most FM-related things, info/meaning is scarce and obscure). Mad Scientists features a side containing 4-5 lock grooves that are excellent, quirky DJ tools; the other side consists of 2 long weird-rhythmed tracks that could move (unconventional) dancefloors. But acc. to Mego's web site, the release is oop "forever." Good luck finding it. Explorers_We (on OR) is probably FM's strangest work (it was reviewed in that "Glitchwerks" article, btw), consisting of 60 1-minute tracks that run continuously; the disc becomes more bizarre as it progresses. It sounds like what Xenakis might be doing now if he were into DSP technology. No Backup and fsck are linked in my mind as being kind of similar, with tracks that alternate between abstract, noisy electronics and off-kilter rhythm & bruise workouts. Assorted FM tracks appear on comps (Picknick Mit Hermann and Chill Out [both on Sabotage], and others I can't recall now). I'm not certain that I have everything by FM, so check their web site for further info (anybody know the URL?).
