How many people are there trying to copy Aphex Twin and Autechre? Just about every IDM record I hear these days are copying Autechre's drum pattern style. And I'm not saying that there isn't some great IDM stuff coming out. I too was really into to drum n bass a year ago and I still am. There was a period of stagnation, that's true. Everything started to sound the same, but that has all changed. There has been some really awesome records to coming out over the last 6 months and from what I have heard of on dubplates the next 6 months will be just as great. > Sure the first time I heard some driving dark > tech-step I was amazed and psyched by the energy it > could create on a dance floor. Exactly the energy is great. If you see a really awesome drum n bass dj like Fierce, J Majik, Ed Rush, etc. it's better than anything. Even though I still really like techno, I just don't get the same sense of energy, freshness, etc. as I do with a good d n b dj. But then again I have yet to see Jeff Mills or Claude Young spin. > But it soon became boring. And now it just gives me > a headache if I'm forced to listen to it for more > then 10 minutes. That what most house, breaks, and trance does to me. To bad that 95% of what you hear when you go to any club, event, etc. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
