Mogwai are pretty un electronic.. mainly guitars drums and occasional piano;
they're still great though. They do have the remix album, which is largely
idm... if you've never heard them you should really get hold of Come on Die
Young or Young team (imo).

Any number of vaguely rock bands use 'electronic sounds' in that they have a
guy playing synths... Spiritualised spring to mind. Also there are loads of
crap bands who use programmed drums as a ploy to convince everyone that
they're either dead industrial and scary or have their finger on the pulse of
techno... it doesn't work though.
Arab Strap (wahey) combine rather nice housey beats with their
bass/guitar/tuneless Glasweigan mumbling template... they're great, so buy
all of their records (imo of course).
Super Furry Animals seem to use a lot of rather fun technoish and dnb ish
stuff. Oh and the Beta Band are quite pleasant... synths, samples, singing
gnomes (yes)... I'm not sure if they're actually rock though
Actually, I think that the time is ripe for someone to combine pschedelic
guitar with beats: I haven't because I can't play guitar and I'm crap at
programming, but I think the effect would be kind of hypnotic... a repeated
short loop of 'out there' guitar... (if anything like this exists and isn't
crap tell me).

Thanks for listening
