one of the most-worth-talking-about of whom i have the least to say...he's
naohiro fujikawa. he's released a few tracks on space teddy under his own
name, and two albums (_time_ and _strange or funny ha-ha?_) on sub rosa as
bisk. i also saw a listing this week for a split 12-inch featuring bisk and
multiphonic ensemble (bisk on vinyl!!). finally, bisk is meant to have a
track on the forthcoming sub rosa compilation, _water and architecture_,
also featuring bundy brown, atom heart, and seefeel.

in short, bisk makes some of the most advanced, sophisticated post-dance
electronic music i've ever heard. a roiling stew of compositional reference
points encompassing jazz, ambient, electro, hip-hop, drum'n'bass,
post-classical/noise, even academic algorithmic metamusic...amazing stuff.
