Acid by Sonic foundry is a very good looping program, but I would love to
add MIDI support for it (sounds weird, eh? lol :)
Fruty Loops's very nice and easy. Actually it's more stable than ACID, but
has less functions... If you have good ambient loops - try it...
Rebirth - not for ambient, but.... nice drummachine and analogprocessor.
Rubberduck - nice drummachine, very easy to use.

Simsynth, Subsinth and Organator - complicated way of creating your own
samples :)
