I've got this one up for trade or sale. Please contact me off-list if interested. Thanks, and sorry for the cross-post.. ALEJANDRA & UNDERWOOD : The Childrens Record CD (LUCKY KITCHEN) >>>Press sheet from the Kitchen...<<< "Alejandra and Underwood recorded their friends singing songs they remembered from their childhood. Then they created electronic pieces reconstructing children's songs from records, internet websites, television, haunted house effects cds, and field recordings of kids playing. The tracks and the field recordings, like the "Love Album" before it, exist in a strange balance between reality and digital fantasy. In the June 1999 issue of the Wire Rob Young wrote an article featuring Lucky Kitchen. In the same issue Dave Howell of Fat Cat Records gave praise to our work saying it is "multicultural, urban, modern electronic folk." That was very nice of him. Overall we just have fun making this stuff, and we think there are some people out there who enjoy listening to it as well. The packaging is again hand-made, this time of hand-cut pink construction paper, addition/subtraction flash-cards, and hand-written cover. (Yes, we handwrote the covers, carpel tunnel action.) This full length CD is a solid joining of new electronic musical compositions and anthropological field recordings." _______________________________ Pietro Da Sacco, xxx@xxxxxxx.xx ~ Grooves Magazine ~ http://www.rain.org/~audio/grooves/ ~ Insound (Grooves #1) ~ http://www.insound.com/zinestand/grooves/ ~ The Circular Cosmic Spot ~ http://www.sdriver.com/spot
