NOTE: IT IS NOWHERE NEAR FINISHED. It will be a sizable task (since its
going to be done correctly) so I can use all the help I can get. I just
got tired of waitin'!!!

IDM is D.I.Y. music, so since we never got an FAQ and I really wanted
one, I did it myself. Ive offered to help various other parties who had
supposedly started this already but I was always reassured there were
enough cooks on the kitchen. I understand we all get busy and priorities
get pushed around but I was recently offered the opportunity to set this
nice LINUX box up for a use like this so it made sense for me to get the
ball rolling at least.

Its has a 100 baseT connection straight into an OC-3 internet backbone so
slam it all you want, it wont go down or slow down ;)

Id like to make it more than just an FAQ (as you can see by some of the
links I have already started) but you'll get an idea once you get there
of what Im talking about. I can do whatever I want on the server,
including any database and cgi work so we have the potential to do some
pretty cool stuff - Im excited anyway.

Lets start on the FAQ part (you'll have to suffer through my lame attempt
until some smart people can strip out my liberal abuse of hyphens and
run-on sentences!! ). If you are interested in representing your city on
the "IDM Travel guide" please state this fact in an email so I can
contact you when that page is ready.

I hate crazy long URLs so I just registed the idmfaq.org domain - and its
easy enough to yell to a drunk across a noisy bar with a decent chance of
them remembering it! ALSO please use the E-Mail link on the page
(xxxxx@xxxxxx.xxx) for any input/assistance on the site since this is a
personal home project and NOT work related. other than that lemme know
what you think!

damn, here goes nothin',
ernie
