okay. This is kinda funny. I was listening to (or rather i was being
made to listen to) the toronto "new rock" station today and they played
the new Nine Inch Nails single "The Day The World Went Away" (I'm fuzzy
on how i feel about this one...maybe it's because i haven't listened to
NIN in several years, but i dunno). After they played it the guy
started talking about Nothing Records and decided to list some of the
talents signed to it. Of course he mentioned Autechre. Now * I *
always thought it was pronounced AW-tek-er. Everyone i know who knows
Autechre pronounces it that way. The radio talk guy pronounced it
aw-TESCH-ruh. I started to laugh derisively, but then it occured to me
that i may be laughing in ignorance. I know this has probably been
asked a million times before, but just how IS Autechre pronounced?
