IDM out of tune. How would Mike P / Aphex / Cylob to name but a few "idm" artists survive without the sound of detuned wobbly synths? Having had what some people may describe as a classically trained musical background the only thing I cannot appreciate is music that is patently out of tune or time and it's not been done consciously and deliberately by the artist responsible. Use your ears and decide for yourself. Nobody is going to convince me that Luke Vibert is tone deaf - I don't know how that thread could have started, especially with Luke consistently turning out stuff of the highest melodic calibre. If he's done something "out of tune" it's probably because it sounds good! enuf already mat
