I'll assume you mean Varick. It's west village area. Once again: I like to shop at the following, Kim's on St. Marks tween 3rd and 2nd Ave. Strange on 9th St tween 1st and Ave. A. Throb on 14th St tween 3rd and 2nd Ave. I exclusively buy CD's but all carry vinyl also. Also in related interest some friends of mine have put together a pretty decent Techno Night on tuesdays in NYC at: 2i's on 14th tween 7th and 8th Ave. $3 cover. It's a nice place and they've been working on getting some good DJ's for this night.
