Blue Lines is classic, but it hasn't aged perfectly, some of it sounds really cheesy (although all that is fixed when they do the songs live, i almost wish they'd rerecord the whole album like they rerecorded "Eurochild" as "Euro Zero Zero"). Protection is good but a bit too slick and it feels to forulaic the way both sides are laid out the same way: Tracey Thorn, Tricky and 3d, Nicolette, Instrumental (craig armstrong on piano), Horace Andy. Mezzanine is very good, a pop-style perfection of some ideas tricky brought forth on "Pre-Millennium Tension": dark, heavy, guitars, evil. Probably their most fully-realized album, yet atypical from the first two.
