If they saw the tracks he had put >online, then I can't imagine why they would have a problem with it. If Ae have a problem with it then *whatever their reasons* (whether they be due to lack of control, lack of revenue, whatever) then it would be nice if that was adhered to. The folks who ran the site did so and good on them. What seems to be happening is that people don't mind this (which of course, any real Ae fan wouldn't) but if it's Warp that ask then thats a problem for people because their motives are deemed more obvious (ie. revenue concerns). AFAIK, Warp support their artists. If Ae actively wanted that MP3 site to stay alive, Warp would've supported that. What concerns Warp now is what concerns a lot of other record companies (and also software companies, etc) and thats how far this MP3 -> burning CDRs (or whatever new media comnes along) is going to go. The potential is massive and for a label that needs to pay it's artists so they can afford to do what they love, thats a scary prospect. Okay - thats me over with. Probably :) || [CiM] || xxx_@xxxxxxx.xxx || - ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
