Well, seeing my name's on here, I'll answer in public to the list:

I'm not looking to score points or to be cleverer than anybody else.
The reason I'm on this list is because it's an excellent and
informative forum discussing the music that I listen to. And That's
It. I'm not a lurker - and maybe I'm too garrulous. My first post
to the list was straight in at the deep end joining the merry fray
about (gasp) vinlyl vs digital << forgive me >>.

One important thing about the internet is that it is a great leveller
in that as individuals we are free of societal stigmas adhering to
issues like age, gender, religion, race, political persuation etc.

We reveal as much as we want to reveal - it is quite possible to
pretend to an alter ego and I *could* tell you I'm a 25 year old male
and probably none of you would be any the wiser UNLESS I chose to
divulge more about myself (which I see no reason to obfuscate).

Yes, I know I hardly fit the demographic profile of this list. I'm
a woman, what's more I'm a mother of two children and I live in a
distant spot at the very bottom of the African continent. So what?
My geographical location makes obtaining the music "we" love
(globally speaking - since I consider all of you reading this as
being of like mind) more difficult and thus I really appreciate being
able to share my views and obtaining helpful comments from you (and
tape trades - thanks to all of you I've benefitted from dealing
with).

Am I ugly? Or am I a foxy babe? :-) Well, if you're ever in South
Africa, come on over and find out!

Yours - wearing sparkly blue nailpolish (how many of you do THAT)
