Hi, For those that are in the UK and are interested, Mixing It returns on Monday night (14/9/98) at 2245 on Radio 3 (90.2 - 92.4 FM). Here is what the Radio Times has to say about the programme : <<<<< Mark Russell and Robert Sandall present a mix of musical styles and influences. They launch the new series from the underground haunts of Vienna, where the Phonotaktik festival of experimental music is now underway. They talk to DJ and promoter Peter Rehberg, saxophonist and composer Max Nagl and producer Curd Duca. Mathias Ruegg talks about his 21 years as director of the pioneering Vienna Art Orchestra. And music comes from Die Knodel, EPY and DJ duo Kruder and Dorfmeister. >>>>> If contemporary classical music is your cup of tea, check out Hear and Now, on Fridays at 2200, which is also returning for a new series. This week they have a studio performance by the percussion group Amadinda and will be performing works by Aurel Hollo, Zoltan Vaci, Lukas Ligeti, John Cage and James Wood. Sounds good to me.
