I wonder if in 10 yrs or so from now, when IDM has hit it big ( ; 0) will the academics debate how corporatism has stolen the birthright from MayDay, Mr. Fingers, et al? But on a slightly more IDM note, whilst some of you lampoon DJ Shadow for the plague of trip hop, I saw it as taking the essence of hip hop further - political content is unmistakable in his tracks. How is the Chinese Whispers remix album - particularly the Sons of Silence track? Just wondering ... I see it in stores all the time but have so far refrained from getting it.
