Now children (play nice...) An oscilloscope probe has to match the scope its used with. A 10MHz scope can do with a $30 probe... this socpe does not need speed and low capacitance. A 100MHz scope will need a much more expensive probe... OR it will not match the scope input, and may act like a filter... either making ringing appear that is not real, or LPF filtering the signal so that your 100MHz scope works like a 10MHz (this might be fine... most synths can be done with a 10MHz scope just fine) I suggest a 10:1 probe, or one switchable to 10:1... with the correct capacitance for your scopes. This will allow proper adjustment and minimal circuit loading. If you do not ABUSE them, scope probes will last the life of the scope. A 20 year investment write-off Or have the scope LIE to you instead and go chasing ghosts in the synthesizer that aren't really there... maybe break it while you're in there wasting your time... shop smart :^P H^) harry
