It=E2=80=99s a religious thing. (so it=E2=80=99s not informed by =
science)

Music fans and musicians alike have a belief that analog is superior to =
digital, vinyl is superior to compact disc, tube is superior to solid =
state, expensive is superior to affordable, and that all products with a =
particular brand name sound better than any product from certain other =
brand names.

DCO stands for Digital(ly) Controlled Oscillator - so it=E2=80=99s =
clearly inferior. Any amount of =E2=80=9Cdigital=E2=80=9D means that =
it=E2=80=99s exactly the same as VA (Virtual Analog). Those who stop and =
think a little probably assume that DCO is just a marketing term for VA =
that=E2=80=99s trying to imply something better than digital.

I won=E2=80=99t explain the details of why just about everything above =
is wrong - because I bet you already know.
