Yeap. The group is called the Great White Hype, and they do cdrs parodying
rap and various electronic artist, TG, and Coil as you mentioned, and also
Brian Eno with their Another Black World. On some fucked up cdr label, also
home to a series of test tone cds, the cd is actually a 20-20khz sweep
lasting 74 minutes. Volume 2 is 20k-20hz. Fun. I hear a Boyd Rice-inspired
GWH cd is in the works as well. Their website is down at the moment but it
is http://24.5.30.51/RLR/ . You can listen to sound clips on there. What
does it sound like? Hmm... like amateur recordings of joke rap music.
Offensive vocals/loops, etc. On the TG ones they actually use samples from
TG records.. mainly "jazz funk greats". But yeah, definitely ordering it
when I get around to it.
