For the last ten years or longer we've sent vans over to mainland Europe = collecting and delivering gear after each auction. There are sometimes = customs checks, but with a few exceptions, there is free trade inside = the EC, so no tax or duty to pay on things like second-hand synths. That is all going to change in the next few years. Someone in Norway or = Switzerland buying something from elsewhere in the EC currently has to = pay tax and duty - and EC recipients of items from those countries have = to as well. The same will apply to the UK too, after the transitional = period of Brexit. So suddenly the whole idea of collecting things together (to go out to = Europe and to come back in to the EC) becomes much more difficult and = expensive. We've often consolidated pallets of stuff from all over Europe to go to = the US or Australia.... that will basically be prohibitive after Brexit.
