>I don't mean to insult the intelligence of you or the original poster by any means, but one other difference (a gigantic difference IMHO) you might have forgotten is the jack panel.. . this opens the door to amazing feedback trix and signal interconnections one could never realize on a non-banana system.. (without allot of money).. The only other difference (besides the obvious quality comparison between the two machines) is the serge modules have a hell of allot more cv inputs ... nearly everything is CV'able.. where as the doepfer is lacking in this respect... This isn't completely true...Granted, to compare basic units neglecting the pure power of each,< All this is true. You could in fact list endless differences between the various modular options. The point I am trying to make is that systems li= ke MOTM or Doepfer offer an opportunity to sample the joys of modular synthesis (without compromise IMO) at a much less critical outlay of cash= than Serge. If the original poster decides that modulars are not for him,= apart from the lower initial investment, it will be a lot easier to sell = on a $1,000 system than a $3,000 Serge panel. CW
