sorry A.M.P...

>Well heres the recipe to write IZ-US:

i need a good laugh, carry on...

Yeah yeah, sure sure.. i think you've completely missed the point of what
the work of aphex twin and countless others is about, but carry on...

>3. Go to the store and buy a sample CD. "Wicked loops" and "remix" are

if this is a joke, please forgive me - i haven't got it, and really do think
you're absolutely stupid.

>5 Sequence those chords and place a drum track with that loop endless

you sound as if you think a repeating loop is something bad.

>6. If you have cubase, run some effects such as reverb, delay for some
>fun.

oh yeah, just twiddle those knobs

>Makes for a catchy song. For larger parties just ultiply proportions :)!

yep yep yep. fucking rubbish. in your next idm post i suppose you'll
reveal how to build the sydney opera house by putting bricks on top of each
other, and how to make your own pc by soldering a few chips together.

>On an Asr-10 keyboard/sampler, you could do it in minutes. Literally.

so by tomorrow morning my mailbox should be completely filled with your mp3
files.

if, as i so heavily suspect, you really are talking a load of bollocks, then
i will mail you back an mp3 of myself laughing at your 2-dimensional effort.
if, on the other hand, you actually do have an idea, and can produce music
with the sonic depth, cohesiveness and character of an aphex twin record,
then i will immediately sign you to my label - and both of us can make a
great deal of money.

>THe real joke for me is not his oh-so-intelligent pokes at pop culture,

now back up here a little. in what interview, in what article has richard
james EVER said what his music was about? what the fuck do you know about
the motivations for him or anybody else making music?

> The big joke is that he is laughing at the idiots who spend their
>life analyzing him.

some of us just enjoy listening to his music. you know, we are allowed to
like this guy's music without being called wankers by someone who is so
obviously more 'underground' than us! ;-)

>Reminds me of the old Mad magazine skit "You know
>you're sad when....you spend hours analyzing the smudge on the new album
>cover of your favorite band, only to find it was a bit of peanut butter
>from the sandwich you were eating."

well, i'd like to say this - You know you're deaf when you think an aphex
record consists of a synthesiser, a drum loop and a reverb.

now come on, you could have sent me 3 tracks in the time it took you to read
this...

cheerio!
