Are you calling Chris an unknown artist, or were you just rambling? Last
time I talked to Chris he had 6 or 7 record deals (Strictly Rhythm,
Peacefrog, Junior Boys Own, Studio K7, Acacia, Eruption, and Earth
currently, probably others I don't know about). Hardly unknown. Plus he's
starting to get some serious press coverage. About fucking time.

I think a lot of Wamdue's tracks veer into IDM. The house tracks tend to
be more sophisticated than Global Communication's house tracks. Wamdue,
GC, and William Orbit are the only purveyors of 4OTMOFOF that I listen to
regularly

The real shame is that you'll never get to hear some of his better tracks,
which don't get released because they don't fit into a tidy genre niche.
I've heard stuff that sounds Japan meets Black Dog, just amazing, plus
other strange cross pollinations, and stuff that I can't categorize, other
than to say it's electronic.

What's scary is that his long-held ambition is to be an R&B producer on the
order of Babyface, Teddy Reilly, or Jam & Lewis. I think he's had this
idea since he took some kids at his high school & made them sound like Soul
II Soul (and it was frighteningly good). Really scary.

rock - rok (v.) - having a conventional and/or boring nature. ex: "Khakis
rock". "That Rolling Stones show rocked". syn: suck.
