Well, I can only speak for South Africa, but I should think it's pretty similar elsewhere. If you have satellite TV, apart from the TV channels, you can toggle to "audio" and there's a selection of MANY music channels (no back-announcing though) - you pick the category and they deliver. I'm just looking through the programme here - lists about 30, classified in different categories with sub- categories (eg under INSTRUMENTAL you get Beautiful Instrumentals / Contemporary Instrumentals / New Age). Quite a selection of Jazz, Oldies, Pop/Adult Contemporary - which includes Dance / Euro Hits / Hottest Hits / Power Hits / Soft Hits then under Rock you get Album Rock / Alternative / Classic Rock / Hard Rock, etc. The blurb for Dance says "a blend of kickin' house, techno and rave" :-) If I wasn't such a trainspotter I'd tune in, but it irritates me like hell to hear something good and not know what it is.
