I guess that's why some folks call it "ambient." :-)

I had a similar experience the other night. A car stopped at
the light next to me had its stereo cranked up to self-destructive
levels. The windows were up, so most of what I heard was
rhythmic buzzing and crackling from the trunk-mounted speakers.
For all I know the driver was listening to the latest Spice Girls
monstrosity (or whatever), but as the distorted bass line excited
various resonances in the deteriorating speakers and within the
car's trunk, the noises emitted sounded a lot like Cristian Vogel's
latest... (And I LOVE CV's latest! "Busca Invisibles").

Funny how the broken stereo got rhythms out of that music that
were never there in the first place.

Speaking of "found sounds," but does anyone else find Squarepusher's
latest attempts to combine D'n'B and Gamelon sounds a bit like a
roomful of old electromechanical pinball machines? (This isn't
intended as a put-down, BTW.)
