Yes, a lot of the recent Detroit records are using "X2" mastering, done by Ron Murphy of NSC (www.soundenterprises.com). I know UR, V-Max, Interdimensional Transmissions (the new Ectomorph record) and others have "X2" mastering. Check out the list of labels mastered at NSC - it's pretty impressive. Ron Murphy has had some sort of impact a lot of the Detroit techno past & present.
