The CD for this release finally came out. It has one more track than the 12", *and* some very fine DRtwork. I think this release constitutes the first appearance of an original Funkstörung song on CD. The first track, a remix of "All Is Full Of Love," takes a sublime Björk creation, strips it of everything but atmosphere and vocals, and adds some maddening but somehow perfect percussive boinks. It is definitely a "whole is greater than the sum of the parts" effort, as it takes the gorgeous original in a completely different but equally beautiful direction. The Funkstörung original, "This Shit," is an understated track, with off-kilter rhythms and a gentle melody line, but with some almost subliminal scratching. It doesn't arrive at quite as interesting a place as the first track, but it's still excellent listening, and the ending is very satisfying. The last track, a second "Love" remix, is *much* busier than the first, but somewhat less satisfying. It's less like taking a Björk track and remixing it than it is taking a crunchy Funkstörung track and sampling Björk's vocals into the undercurrent. The rhythm is more repetitive, but it flows well.
