Jesus, how condescending.  Why assume that Tosh doesn't know the "trick" to
active listening?  Sounds more likely that he/she just doesn't really dig
IDM (and ambient-schlock like FSOL), and prefers minimal-techno and the 4/4
structures of Chain Reaction, etc.  In which case it's not the listener
that's at issue, but the kind of music, and for people who put themselves in
this camp, the Warp/Rephlex sound is less likely to excite than the Chain
Reaction/Profan/Harvest/Eat Raw/M-nus sound...
