I also hate that guy's dweeby voice. The JP Buckles was crap, PLEASE someone buy this from me, I give you a very fair price!!! With regards to Global Goon, I remember it was pretty trip hop-ish. I don't have the names memorized but this was the single with the face on it. Right? J Saul Kane and Thievery Corporation are WAY better IMHO The Dred/Green wasn't bad by any means. It wasn't really my cup of tea. I thought there were some moments that were really cool. But as a whole it didn't fit my tastes. If I only listened to IDM and didn't know and hear alot of other stuff than I might share your perspective. But I do listen to all kinds of stuff from trip hop to drum n bass, and I judge the music as a whole. Perhaps, you dislike alot of other style of electronic music, so you just stay close to IDM, I don't know. > dred/green:virtual farmer > j.p. buckle:flying lo fi > global goon:afterlife ep > gentle people:mix gently > > lots of people probably won't agree > with me, but that's life. the goon > mix of laurie's theme is sooper. > > biggest crap on rephlex in '98: > > electromegamix2 > > outstanding rephlex in '99: > > cylob:rewind ep > > you can call it silly, but i think > it's amazing. Actually I don't think it is silly. I think what he did with the voices is very cool. It's actually pretty good considering it's on Rephlex. I don't share your amazement. I wouldn't mind hearing this played out, in fact i think it would be cool. With all the records I bought last month, it didn't make it into to my collection. But I agree it's a decent release.
