Hello Neil, the A-190-5 will not have a higher resolution. But I'm not sure if it's indeed a problem of the CV resolution. 12 bit should be more than enough because the midi data for monophonic after touch are 7 bit only. I suppose that it's a problem with the data rate (i.e. how fast the data is sent). The A-190-4 does not have a "software slew limiter" which smoothes the stepped data.
