You can also use the Comparator to make square wave. Also, you can use the
Comparator a s a level detector to let pulses (for syncopated rhythms out
your stepped function) or control-voltages (say from a DSG to an oscillator
for a flat pitch change). Also, the Comparator is the easiest way to
convert a _weak_ audio sound into a pulse for timing, etc. on the serge.

Kent always slams the serge systems. I always promote them. It is rather a
religious argument.

I truly doubt that Doepfer filter will ring like serge filters ...

Serge is absolutely the way to go.

Your are correct: it takes several Doepfer modules to equal on serge ...
what does that tell you? :)
