For other "less is more" minimalist music, you might look into Steve Reich
- 6 Marimbas or Terry Riley or La Monte Young (most people recommend
Reich's Music for 18 Musicians, but I find it kind of boring).
In the more "avant-garde" areas, Stockhausen - Kontakte, John Zorn
w/Christian Marclay - Forbidden Fruit (a piece that appears on a couple of
records), Fred Frith - The Previous Evening are all simply wonderful.

Interestingly, Steve Reich's 6 Marimbas sounds a hell of a lot like Oval -
do while. And Fred Frith uses lots of Ovalish distortions on the Previous
Evening.
