It's not symmetrical. Eurorack is an old and very widely used
standard, whose scope goes a bit beyond synths. It's been
published as IEC 297-3 in 1984. Frac-rack is _at best_ a de
facto standard.

Did PAIA start using the frac-rack format before or after 1984 ?
What was the form factor of the 2700 ?
