Snapper were cool. Sold out the Astoria (2000 capacity?) which is pretty extrordinary. Kept the place rocking most of the time although they deviated into some slower tracks, possibly one too many. They had one track _Four Dead Monks_ which I think is on the new LP - really good track. And I'm not a keen Red Snapper fan. Skipped the after party and went home to get some sleep for... Rephresh. Missed the venue but bumped into Max Tundra who showed us where the Soundshaft was. Grant was spinning jazzy car-boot records when we got in. This changed into cheesey electro ("N-n-n-nineteen") and from there into old hardcore with Ed DMX on the decks. Moody git that he is, he is still a pretty tight, fun DJ. It was a good fun night but nothing crazily good - I just wanted to hear more Rephlex records played out in a club which is a bit obvious but there you go. New Skam 12" is remixes of Autechre tracks or something. The Gescom remix is good although nothing vastly different, the rest seemed pretty weak on a first listen. Also managed to get Reloads _Auto-Reload 2_ on vinyl and the Gescom 12" on Clear which was pretty tasty. The new Stefan Robbers on Eevolute is also nice. Forgot what else I got as the Triology 4 night on Saturday frazzled my brain. || [CiM] || xxx_@xxxxxxx.xxx || - ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
