Re: [AH] Does Pulse Multiplier module exist (opposite of Pulse Divider)?

Thanks, I will probably use re-triggerable square LFO through VCA to achieve
the same result. I have been experimenting with random ratchets (32nd, 64th
notes like Tangerine Dream) on my Doepfer/SH-2 hybrid. The results are very
good. The essence of the patch is very fast LFO, used as a clock, and fed to
pulse divider. Than, /8 goes to sequencer, and /4 goes to the switch module.
Trigger from the sequencer also goes to the switch module. The patch is more
complex than this, it ends up sounding as /8, randomly interrupted with /4,
and /2 bursts. If you have a place to post mp3, I can send you that.

Since I have only one sequencer (Doepfer A-155), I am trying to expand my
setup without spending too much. I have 909 that I might be trading for
another Doepfer sequencer, and probably A-152 switch (both brand new). But
909 has some features that I might regret losing: ability to sync my modular
to MIDI devices, because 909 is excellent MIDI master, and rim shot doubles
as clock out, that sends perfect trigger to 155. And that's why I asked the
question: I would be interested to multiply those pulses from 909, to get
some ratchets going at the same time. Therefore, burst generator is a pretty
good solution.

Of course, I can always run 909 at double speed, and divide with 2 to run
A-155, and use undivided signal for ratchets. And I can also use 909
sequencer for external devices (though I prefer to have second A-155.) So
that's the whole story :-)

Regards,

Zoran
