Re: (idm) MiniDisc Recommendations?

I bought my mics from CoreSound (http://www.core-sound.com//mics.html) and
have been very pleased. I'm using them with my Sony MiniDisc (model
number escapes me) and they work great. I highly recommend the windscreens
for an extra $10 if you're going to do any outdoor recordings or walking
around while recording. Wind static can easily ruin your recording.

I've used my mics to record everything from live music to random wanderings
through SF and have just sent them off with a friend to Bali, Kuala Lumpur
and Singapore. If anyone is interested I'd love to trade field recordings
found sounds. Especially interested in public transportation (trains,
subways) and street musicians as well as other random wanderings through
cities.
