Slowdive followed up SOUVLAKI and the "5" EP (to which you're likely
referring, it has the three extra tracks that were tacked on to the end of
the US version of SOUVLAKI) with their final album PYGMALION on Creation.
PYGMALION is a very sparse, minimal, yes, ambient album, but is not as
electronic as the "5" EP which Neil Halstead says was inspired by Orbital
and Aphex.

The group broke up in 95 and reformed as Mojave 3 on 4AD, thus abadoning the
Slowdive experimental phase and pursuing a more traditional song-based
structure. Neil, however, did do a very nice ambient electronic track in 95
with Tony Wilson under the name Zurich which later appeared on Leaf's
INVISIBLE SOUNDTRACKS compilation. Neil also sings on the Locust track "On
the Horizon" on the MORNING LIGHT album.
