If you're into funki porcini, then I think you'll like all of Amon's stuff.
I think it's very, very good, but that still pales next to Permutation.

As far as Permutation goes, my only problem with it is that it's so good, I
had trouble listening to anything else for weeks on end. I was listening
to it several times a day (something I NEVER do). I finally quit listening
to it for fear of getting too familiar with it. It's one of the most
brilliant examples of sampling I've ever heard. With other sampling
auteurs like Coldcut & The Orb, it's always obvious that it's a sample, and
there's a certain cleverness about it. Not so w/ Permutations. It's so
seamless, you forget it's made of samples. Permutations has
recontextualized all those 25 cent thrift store records I've bought over
the years (you know, Martin Denny, Ray Coniff, that sort of stuff) and fit
them into the continuum of drum and bass. For me, this is a landmark
album, one I know I'll be coming back to for years to come.

rock - rok (v.) - having a conventional and/or boring nature. ex: "Khakis
rock". "That Rolling Stones show rocked". syn: suck.
