I like to give things a chance if it doesn't grab me right off. My problem is that I do most of my music listening at work, where I have the worst sound system that I own. Listening to things in the car or at home reveal much more of the music, so if I don't like it at work, I try it in one of my other two scenarios. Things don't necessarily grow on me, as there are certain things I just don't like, and listening to them in one place or another isn't going to change that. But I like to give anything I buy a decent shot at winning me over. A great recent example is Innerzone Orchestra's _Programmed_. I listened to it twice at work and was sure it was going to end up on my trade list. But then I listened to it in the car a couple of times, and I discovered that there were only two tracks that I really disliked ("Basic Math" and "At Les"), and the rest of it was actually pretty decent, with "Manufactured Memories," "Bug In The Bass Bin," "Programmed" and "Galaxy" (a remix/cover/version of the War song) being the standout tracks. So I decided to keep it, and just skip the two songs I don't care for. ----- Adam J Weitzman --- NewsEdge Corporation ----- http://www.newsedge.com -- http://www.newspage.com "Humor is the best way of dealing with complete and utter nonsense." - John Lydon
