I wholeheartedly second the recommendation- best trip hop from the 'hot' era, 95-97 or so. my only criticism is that it occasionally sounds like a portishead variant. not derivative, mind you, but variant. the rapping adds a new dimension, tho. very glad they're putting out something new...I still can't find their first disc on CD. oh, and to continue the 6 degrees action...karl from underworld plays bass on a number of tracks, and i think helps produce a few. cheekily referenced, i believe, by the sample of his vocals on 'skyscraper.' rob (oh, and listening to it now, "old artist" definitely sounds like the blueprint for the recent massive attack song with liz fraser...)
