I am experiencing absolute roadblocking of my creativity due to the impossible frustration of trying to get my cubase v4.0r3 to run with Layla on a Mac G3. I have jumped through hoops and spent much money on the phone with Steinberg and Event. I cannot get Cubase to consistantly record a signal, then when I do manage it, I only sporadically get a playback signal to its LEDs. On top of that, when I do manage to get the LEDs to acknowledge a recorded signal, the Layla Echo console has yet to reflect a monitored signal, which blocks me from hearing the recorded signal over my monitors. To top this off, I can't even get Cubase to show a playback signal on the LEDs that it did show yesterday! I am really tearing my hair out over this. When I owned the old Cubase 3.5 and an Audiomedia card, running on my old Performa with far less RAM and disc space (not to mention far slower) it ran so much better. I was playing with the effects and monitoring effortlessly. It's supposed to be a very transparent interface, but I'm literally in a labrinth of frustration, and about two seconds from chucking the whole thing for a flat out hard disc unit. Any help for this weary soul would be appreciated. I'd even pay for REAL help! GOOD GOD IN HEAVEN! Charlie James
