You could look at the MBF-Synth 3, I spent a long time with one at 
Musikmesse yesterday and am buying one asap. It's extremely small and 
compact and sounds lovely (from what I could tell from the noisey show 
floor). I could do a quick writeup of my Musikmesse impressions some time, I 
played a lot of new synths on display there.

Well, this is for neither collecting purposes, or to complement my MS setup 
(as I have no other units aside from an X-911).  Just Looks ideal for a 
simple all-in-one modular unit...  Hence, at some price point (what the 
auction is at), it would probably make more sense for me to look towards 
modern gear to achieve a similar effect.
