here is something I posted a while back... Every once in awhile you stumble across a CD that to be appreciated has to be heard on a hi fi audio system. That CD in question is Senking - Senking (Karoke Kalk KK CD1). This CD compiles all the tracks from the Senking 12" ep plus three additional tracks from the first two kandis vinyl only releases. Now onto the music: Think Pole without the pops and clicks. Think Richie Hawtin djing 20,000 leagues under the sea. We are talking about deep bass and mutated techno beats (as if you were hearing the music under water). I did not fully realize the impact of the album until I turned on my subwoofer that is connected to my home stereo. The overall effect is a very laid back projection of sound. A wonderful album, especially with the lights out and the sub turned up. In a lot of ways it more basic channel than basic channel. -daniel Head Monkey Mad Monkey Records http://monkey.eliteware.com On Tue, 29 Jun 1999, laerm wrote: > this thing is great. it's the best one so far, easy. it sounds a bit like > wat would happen if peter gabriel and plastikman got together (the > melodies are reminiscent of some of PG's old soundtrack stuff, like > _birdy_; and the sounds and arrangement are kinda plastikman _consumed_ > era). but that's not really an accurate description. a real good 18 > minutes. > > this is the only thing i've heard from senking. any recommendations on > where to go next? > <snip>
