Amon Tobin's ep on Ninja Tune -> Piranha Breaks. We hasn't there been more posted about this? Wonderful disc! Come on you slags, get with it already! Anyway, since my last post on schmatic... Push Button Objects has really grown on me. A lot. Jeswa is still as good as ever. Takeshi and Metic seem to be hit and miss, in my opinion. With Takeshi, there is a really wonderful sort of asian melody over one of the tracks, which is stunning. I mean, not the kind of thing you hear on every IDM record you know? But the other songs are a bit barren in comparison. No real melodic development -- some interesting drum fills and all that, no doubt, but there could be *more*. Metic is very metallic, very Booth and Brown, very disturbing yet warm at the same time. This has the ever popular Skam/MAS/vvm sound, and it works really well at times. Four tracks and I jetisoned two; but make no mistake, Metic is definatly one to watch. Also got 0161, which everyone should already have. Swell stuff, handshakes all around. Richard Thomas on Lo. Very abstract, sometimes there isn't even really a song, or it's severly disjointed. However, still a nice listen with some songs that are really swingin' and interesting at the same time. IDM you know? More later. I need to figure out what to do with this huge rephlex poster (hi there pj you're delightful). byesies, andy. -- a` :: contact(xxxxx@xxx.xxx)co-conspirator(261) :: website(undergoing reconstruction)
